RUBAM is an active research group based at the Institute of Advanced Chemistry of Catalonia (IQAC), which belongs to the Spanish National Research Council (Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas, CSIC). CSIC is an autonomous, multisectorial, and multidisciplinary research state agency with more than 100 Institutes throughout Spain, all devoted to scientific and technical research in all branches of knowledge.
RUBAM was created in 2000 as a result of the converging scientific interests of four permanent CSIC staff research scientists and an Associate Professor of Organic Chemistry of the University of Barcelona. Despite the natural group membership changes, the aim of joining multidisciplinary efforts and expertise to the advancement of knowledge in the field of chemistry biology of lipids remains.

Nuestro grupo ofrece la posibilidad de incorporar a dos estudiantes de último o penúltimo año de licenciatura. 1) Moduladores del metabolismo de esfingolípidos: bioquímica, biología celular y biología molecular (ref JAE-INT-0885). 2) Moduladores del metabolismo de esfingolípidos: diseño y síntesis (ref JAE-INT-0854).
